Interstim

In October of 2018 I had my VNS placed and then replaced in December of 2018. In November of 2019, I had my Interstim placed to help my bladder function. I have a condition called bladder sphincter dyssnergia, which from what I am to understand, is when your brain and bladder stop communicating to each other. I ended up with a bad kidney infection that put me in the hospital, which then led to the Urodynamic studies testing (if you want any sense of privacy left, don't do this test!), which led to my diagnosis, which led to my in office trial Interstim which eventually led to my permanent Interstim.

I have to say that I have never met somebody that had 1 of the devices, let alone 2! I'm not sure if the side effects that I am experiencing are normal, or is there a normal? I need these devices to function, and I would not change the decision to get either device, but I cannot help but wonder how many of me are out there? How many people have a VNS and an Interstim concurrently? I don't have the answers and that really sucks!
